choosing the best shoes for a photoshoot ....

We can't express our love for shoes in words alone as there just aren't enough... from peep-toes to stilettos... nude, black or bling! We are always so excited to see what shoes our ladies bring to our studio.
When creating the final look for an outfit, we do however need to consider how the shoes will look on camera, and will they accentuate our ladies and their look.  Here is a few shoes do's and don'ts, to think about when planning for your photo shoot.
Picture
Do
Bring the highest heels you have!  They make your legs look longer and when standing in high heels you have great posture!
Don't
Bring wedges unless its for standing poses only.  For boudoir we want to see the elegant heels... wedges tend to make your feet look big and clunky.  Also avoid shoes with thick heels, they also tend to make the shoes look clumsy.
Do
Bring pointy, sandal or peep-toe heels.  Just consider if you are wearing stockings with the outfit... sandals and peep-toes do not go well with stockings.
Don't
Bring heels with ankle straps.  These cut your leg at your ankle and make your legs look short.  Also avoid ankle boots, they work when wearing a pair of jeans but not well in a boudoir photo shoot.

Do
Bring interesting and fun shoes.  Bright colours, bling and funky designs can really add a pop to your outfit.
Don't
Bring old, scuffed and dirty shoes.  Try clean the soles of your shoes as best as you can and remove stickers from the bottoms as these will show in the photos.

I don't have many shoes....

If you don't have a large shoe collection,  or wear heels often, then the best shoes to bring are either black or nude heels.  They both go with everything and nude heels make your legs look beautiful and long!

With so many choices, styles and designs... it's hard not to fall in love with shoes!  Whether they are the statement piece in your outfit, or there to complete the look... we hope this guide helps you, when planning your photo shoot.

Gorgeous Chantal. Can't you just imagine me and Rona tripping along in those shoes. Not likely! Just as well we don't have any boudoir shoots scheduled any time soon ;-) xxx
