the femme fatale girls xxx So... You have decided that a boudoir photo shoot is something you really want to do.... What happens next? For most women, this is the first time they will be doing an intimate photo shoot of this nature, and they will definitely be very nervous. This is totally normal! A boudoir photo shoot is something outside of your comfort zone and we are very aware of how scary and, at the same time, exciting it feels when you are preparing for it. However, keep in mind, it is a fun, exciting and empowering experience, and our amazing team are here to assist you every step of the way. We will discuss the location options for your photo shoot with you, prior to your shoot. However, most photo shoots take place in our natural light studio that is set-up like a luxurious hotel suite. We often do boudoir shoots on location, so the photo shoot can also take place at your home or a boutique hotel… It is your choice! The night before your boudoir shoot, make sure everything you want to bring with is packed, don't forget your special jewellery, shoes, outfits and panties. For ideas on what to bring with, please check out our "what to bring" page and our Pinterest boards, which we are always updating with beautiful ideas. Wash your hair and let it dry naturally, do last minute hair removal, moisturise and have a good nights rest. It is finally here, the big day, and the butterflies are probably doing flip flops in your tummy! To help calm your nerves, when you arrive, we will welcome you with a chilled glass of champagne. Then you will spend an hour and a half being pampered and transformed into the sexy goddess you are by our Make-up Artist and Hairstylist. The chilled glass of bubbly, selection of sexy corsets, pretty lingerie and lacy items set a romantic and beautiful mood for your shoot. When you are ready, you change into your first outfit and the magic begins. We will assist and guide you through posing, outfit choices (if needed) and looking and feeling fabulous in-front of the camera. There will be a few outfit changes during the shoot, and we normally end off with an ‘implied nude’ shoot. This is very sexy; you pose with a sheet that is strategically and creatively placed. Gorgeous make-up and hair, stunning outfits, fabulous posing and soft beautiful light results in incredible images of you. Within three days of your shoot, you will be sent a link to your images which are in a safe and password protected online album. Here you choose your final images, and we should warn you its hard to choose! These images are the ones we do a little post-production on, we remove unwanted marks without changing you or your body shape. We love our ladies to look as natural and as glamorous as possible.
The thing we hear most from our clients is: “This is completely out of my comfort zone” or “I have never done anything like this before”. Hearing those words, always makes us smile… If it was something every woman did, or was in their comfort zone, women wouldn’t have such negative perceptions of themselves. At femme fatale boudoir, we aim to make every woman feel and look like the gorgeous and sexy goddess, they are. As well as, boost their self-esteem and help them fall in-love with themselves again. All photo shoots are personalised to each woman's style, taste, physique and personality, as we are all unique... You deserve an exclusive experience and photo shoot. So when you are ready to love-you-for-you .... Send us an email or give us a call. We can't wait to show you how gorgeous and sexy you are! The femme fatale girls XXX 24/3/2015 0 Comments divine mrs dMrs D is a divine and amazing lady...she came into our studio a few months after the birth of her third child. She wanted to give her hubby a gift to remember, and we really think she did! She brought along a friend for moral support and soon the studio was filled with laughter and champagne, while Shandre did her fabulous Make-up. As soon as Mrs D was all ready to start her shoot...her sultry and sexy attitude came out, and she worked extremely well with us to create these amazing images. There is something very special about Mrs D...and it shines through in everything she does...she is 100% comfortable in her own skin. When asked what her secret to loving herself is, she said it's all about her amazing husband. He is incredibly supportive of everything she does, and he always shows her that he loves her just the way she is. Once the shoot was done, Mrs D had a very special request...which totally threw us a curve ball! She wanted no retouching or enhancement done to herself in the photos! So here we are sharing images that are not retouched (this is not the norm and not something we would normally do but this was a very special circumstance). Mrs D shared her story with us, which totally melted our hearts and we agreed to this special request. In a nut shell, she wanted to prove to her teenage daughter that you do not need to be Photoshopped to be beautiful! This fabulous lady came into our studio, touched our hearts and inspired us! She showed us, which we have always believed, every woman is beautiful! She changed the way we saw ourselves and made us realise, we are perfect just the way we are! Thank you Mrs D for coming into our lives, for being so inspirational, and for becoming a friend that is incredibly supportive and non-judgmental in every way. The femme fatale girls XXX Chantal Drummond, one of our sexy femme fatale ladies has been involved with Buddies for Life magazine, a quarterly publication, written by and for cancer patients and survivors, for quite some time now. It is a cause that is close to her heart and something that she loves being involves in. Buddies for Life is part of the Breast Health Foundation and they use the magazine to create awareness and give support to those who need it most. The summer 2014 edition was published in October, in time for Breast Cancer Awareness month. The theme for this edition was bright, colourful and had to illustrate diversity and unity. When the team at Word for Word Media contacted us about this cover shoot, we were delighted to hear that we had two beautiful and very inspirational women to photograph, Cindy Matthee and Zoleka Mandela. Cindy Matthee - Femininity does not depend on breasts .... Cindy, like many women, used to believe that having breasts made her feminine, but after being diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of 2014, her outlook totally changed. She is currently writing a book on the relationship women have with their breasts, and is encouraging ladies to send her a photograph depicting this relationship. The message that Cindy has for all cancer patients is "Cancer is not a death sentence. While you fight it you live. You cant wait to live later". And this inspirational lady is doing just that, from going 4x4ing over the Sani Pass to partying at Oppikoppi with her husband Dawid, Cindy is now living her life to the fullest. Zoleka Mandela - A social icon, mother and breast cancer survivor Granddaughter of two South African icons, Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela Mandela, Zoleka believes her social responsiblity to create awareness is inspired by her grandparents and their passion to bring about change. Having lost two children, her daughter Zenani, in a car accident on the eve of the 2010 World Cup, and her son, Zenawe who was born three months prematurely, Zoleka was devastated by the news that she had stage 2 breast cancer in 2012. Always wanting a large family, she refused treatment for three months, and describes that she felt that loosing her breasts made her feel like she was loosing her connection to her children. Zoleka now has two beautiful children, and has written a book called "When hope whispers". She hopes it will encourage people to change themselves, and empower women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. It was emotional and empowering to meet two amazing and inspirational women. Often we are overwhelmed by the small things in our lives. But, when you see the positivity and determination these ladies have, who are fighting this disease. It makes you realise that there are people out there with more serious problems than yours and also it helps puts your problems into perspective. The ladies of femme fatale boudoir would like to thank all who were involved in this amazing photoshoot : The White Room in Randpark Ridge for the gorgeous location. L'il Delights for the super delicious cupcakes, that the ladies really enjoyed. Monique, our in-house Make-up Artist, for the beautiful make-up and who did a fabulous job, as always. The inspirational team at Word for Word Media, who gave us artist freedom to create something beautiful and magical. Cindy and Zoleka, it was so awesome to work with you both - your energy and positivity is infectious and it was an amazing experience for us! Love

The femme fatale ladies XXX 21/10/2014 0 Comments what is bridal boudoir?Boudoir photography is a sexy trend which is becoming increasingly popular among ladies of all ages. In addition, when a boudoir shoot is done tastefully with the right photographer, it is beautiful, sensual and elegant. We are photographing more and more brides, this is probably because, this sensual photo-shoot makes the perfect, special and intimate gift for their groom. This type of photo-shoot is called a bridal boudoir. How does bridal boudoir differ from a normal boudoir shoot? There isn't a huge difference, as we always ask our ladies to bring along a selection of lingerie and outfits to their photo-shoot. However, we encourage our brides to bring their wedding elements with, such as their bridal jewellery, garter, white or bridal lingerie, wedding shoes, flowers and of course their veil. Can I still do my shoot if I do not have all my bridal elements yet? Of course! The femme fatale studio is well equipped with bridal props if you do not have everything. We have the most gorgeous and beautiful cathedral length veil that was custom made for us by our dear friend and recommended wedding dress & accessory supplier By Ligita. We also have a selection of jewellery, bridal corsets, garters, etc. When should I do my bridal boudoir photo-shoot? We recommend you do your photo-shoot at least 6 weeks before your wedding. That gives us enough time to edit the images beautifully and have your gorgeous boudoir album printed and delivered to you before your wedding day. What does bridal boudoir look like? We just love doing bridal boudoir, as it is soft, sensual and really beautiful. One of our favourite things to do is implied nude. This is where we use your or our veil strategically to cover all the important places, but leave a lot to the imagination. Below is a few images from Miss Kamzisto's bridal boudoir photo-shoot. These will give you an idea of what to expect. A big thank you to Monique for the beautiful make-up, and Miss Kamzisto for allowing us to use her gorgeous images and for being such an amazing lady to work with! When Kamzisto arrived at our studio, we jumped for joy when we saw her beautiful hair, she never fails to amaze us with her fabulous locks. Unfortunately, we didn't get much time to photograph and work with her, as the other photographers didn't want to stop photographing her....can you blame them?
Raven Rose's stunning make-up was done by Monique, one of our talented in-house Hair and Make-up Artists. Monique created a fairy tale look and feel for this fabulous lady, which matched perfectly with the soft and sensual setting. The set was enhanced by the vintage corset and mirror (supplied by us at femme fatale), while the make-up gave a romantic and magical feel to the shoot...and Raven Rose looked just like the beauty from the fairy tale - Snow White. Her nerves soon vanished once Monique started her magic...gorgeous make-up was on the cards for Mrs A. Monique didn't only make her look fabulous but feel fabulous as well. Mrs A is not only a natural beauty, she also has this smouldering sultry look which is so intense...just blew us away! She showed us how even just a simple plain white T-shirt can look sexy. This mom of one (almost two as we were excited to learn that she is expecting her second baby soon!) is totally fabulous! Once we started shooting...we didn't want to stop! So we subscribed to Rubybox to see what its all about. Its pretty easy to do, they ask you some questions about your skin type, hair and normal beauty regime, and then every month a beautifully packaged box, containing a selection of beauty products (some full size and some sample size) arrives at your door. August was the first month we had subscribed so you can just imagine how excited we were to receive the email saying it would be delivered the next day. It took all of our self control to take our time opening it so we could take some pictures to share with you. The August box had a few really amazing things inside, we have used them all and wow, we love them all! This is what we received:
We do recommend the Rubybox to all our ladies ... its definitely worth the R169,00 a month, so go spoil yourself!
Love the femme fatale girls XXX When researching this series about great fitting bra's we realised how little we really know about the pretty things that are supposed to uplift and support us. When fitting a bra, there are so many things to consider, and we learnt that if the bra fits well, it is slimming, gives unbelieveable support, relieves pressure from the back and shoulders and creates the most amazing shape ever!
The bra straps - Are actually not there to create lift which most of us believe. They work with the band or wings to evenly distribute the weight of the breasts. They should be tight but comfortable and you should get one finger width of space beneath the strap. The wings or back panel - The back panel should always be snug fitting, but never constrict your breathing or be uncomfortably tight. It should also not ride up your back and always sit level with the bridge or centre gore at the front of the bra. Too tight means you need a bigger band size, riding up means you need a smaller one. You should be able to put one finger inside the back band comfortably. Remember when purchasing a new bra that it should hook on the loosest hook. This increases the life of your bra, as the elastic relaxes you can still tighten it using the other hooks. The Bridge or Centre Gore - This is where the wire of the cups meet at the front of the bra between your breasts. This part should lie flush with your ribcage but not dig in or gape. If it pushes in and squashes the breast tissue, your cup is too small, and if it gapes the cup is too big or the band size is too large. The Cups - There should be a seamless transition between the cup and the breast, no bulging or puckering. This should be comfortable and your breasts should naturally fill the cups. If you are bulging out at the front and by your underarms, then the cup is too small, and if the cup has a gape in the front you need a smaller size. After writing this, we went and checked all of our bras .... guess what, half of them didnt fit correctly and were donated to ladies who dont have money to buy their own. This info was sourced from www.nowthatslingerie.com, http://makeupandbeauty.com/choose-bra/, and http://www.bitsoflace.com/bra-fit-and-tips
